Working alongside The Comedy Club UK, we're sure you'll love this night packed with fun and side-splitting belly laughs to be held in the top floor Ocean Suite.
Our nights will typically include 3 top named comedians from the prestigious UK comedy circuit. The Comedy Club UK never provide 'Open Mic' acts or comedians that do not already have great reputations live, on TV and invaluable experience.
With some audience participation and ‘Joke of the month’ competition, our new comedy club is likely to be the most fun you can have in Exmouth, with your clothes on!
Join us for a night of laughs! Doors are open from 7pm but feel free to come along to the engine room for delicious food before the show.
“I call Whitney ‘The Wit’. You can’t stop him; you can only hope to contain him.” - REGINALD D. HUNTER
David’s material is a fine blend of political satire and pure filth, making him the thinking person’s comic. So long as that person is thinking of something satirically filthy at the time.
He was born in Aberdeen into an army family and grew up all over the world on various army camps. He went to a military college himself with a view to serving in the British Army but, just before going to Sandhurst, he chickened out and went to drama school instead. Years later he was working in Los Angeles when, due to a string of lies he had been trying to impress girls with, he found himself performing his first stand up comedy gig at the Friars Club in Beverly Hills. Since then he has not looked back and now plays some of the biggest clubs in the UK. David is also an accomplished bagpiper and, not someone who shies away from big performances, David by personal request played at Gwen Stefani’s wedding.
“Elegant, and carries disguised spin....Huge laughs.... A Silver-tongued warrior”. - THE SPECTATOR
“He’s got a well-defined sense of comedy which guarantees laughs. Genuine spirit of fun.” - CHORTLE
“His trajectory is perfect. He squeezes the laughs out of an audience. He is the squeezie person”. - EDDIE IZZARD
Abnormally Funny People (Sky), The Sound Barrier (BBC), Natural Born Talent (Ch4)
Steve Day is a truly unique comedian - warm, witty and engaging whilst dealing with the dilemmas of being a deaf man in a hearing world. His stories of multiple children, wearing a suit and the problems caused by not knowing how words are pronounced will have audiences in raptures, and his uplifting tales of overcoming the obstacles in his path will leave crowds feeling inspired.

Steve is a favourite at many venues across the UK and abroad, and is quickly establishing himself as one of the most popular and respected acts on the circuit.
He has become a familiar voice on BBC Radio 4, contributing regular to 'You and Yours', featuring in a half-hour special of 'No Triumph, No Tragedy' and starring alongside Caroline Quentin and Patricia Routledge in 'The Sound Barrier'. Steve was also a staff writer on Radio 2's long-running 'The News Huddlines' and has appeared on numerous TV shows, most notable Channel 4's 'Natural Born Talent' and Sky's 'Abnormally Funny People'. He is currently working on a sitcom, and early treatments for an adaptation of his stage show 'A Night At The Pictures' have met with enthusiasm and excitement.
