Every Sunday! From 4pm
Sunday afternoon and evenings are the best time for a family trip out, from 4pm, games of bowling are just £10 for the entire family, plus, your booking includes a game of pool on us! Just select the “Sunday Afternoon Strikes Deal” at checkout.

Kids birthday parties
Strike it right with a kids bowling party on our designated party lanes and feast on an array of food and drink options.
Choose your bowling game theme and vibrant light colour of your choice, so you can rally teams for a red vs blue competition, or light up your lanes to the birthday stars favourite colour. It’s up to you. Parties start from £15.75
Pool tables
Recently upgraded top-notch tables, we offer fun for all skill levels at any time (subject to availability). Reserve your spot easily via phone or walk-in, and enjoy 30 minutes of play for £8 or an hour for £10. All equipment provided.
Leaderboards
This is where legends are made. All time and youth bowling leaderboards are proudly displayed at all times inside the alley. Think you can beat all time top scorers Owen Mason or Matt Rollinson? Submit your score to one of our team, we’ll verify your score and add you to the leaderboard.

How much does bowling cost?
Adults

Do I have to book?
No, you’re more than welcome to walk-in at your convenience. However we do recommend booking as walk-ins are subject to availability only.
Do I have to wear bowling shoes?
You no longer have to, no!
As long as you’re wearing trainers you can now wear your own footwear when bowling. However, if you’re wearing boots, dirty, or open-toed shoes (heels, crocs, sandals, or those toe shoes etc), we do still require you to change.
If you would still like to wear bowling shoes, you’re more than welcome. We stock every size from kids size 6 to adult size 14, so anyone can be a supermodel! If you’re interested, here’s a few of the benefits of wearing bowling shoes:
Safety, bowling alleys have specially treated surfaces that can be slippery due to the oil applied on the lane approach. Regular shoes can stick to the floor and cause trips or falls, bowling shoes have smooth soles that allow for the slight sliding needed to bowl comfortably.
Lane preservation, we still swap dirty, or sandy shoes, because over time, this damages the polished wood (just look at other, older local bowling alleys) and can work it’s way into our bowling machinery.
Performance, The design of bowling shoes allow you to make the precise movements necessary in tournament level bowling, to deliver the ball smoothly and with control.
Does it cost to hire bowling shoes?.
No, shoe hire cost is included in the price of your game.
Do I have to wear socks?
Yes, please make sure you bring a pair along with you, for your own comfort! If you don’t have socks with you, we sell them for £1.60, just ask at the bowling reception during your visit.
Your bowling balls look different?
Our bowling balls are double thumbed, fitting even more hands, we’re one of the first centers in the UK to have these, and it means means every size and weight can be right there, available on your lane. So you’ll never have to hunt for a ball that fits comfortably again.
Are your lanes string pin?
Yes, we have very recently renovated our bowling facility and now use string pinsetters – the latest in bowling technology! Here’s some of the benefits:
- They’re faster, reducing the wait time between frames
- Provide fewer game interruptions, which can be frustrating with older bowling tech.
- Offer more consistent pin action, beneficial for bowlers who want to refine their technique!
- Smoother and quieter, reducing ambient noise for a more enjoyable atmosphere.
- More energy efficient, so they’re kinder to the environment.
Can I bring my dogs?
Unfortunately, for their safety and comfort, your four-legged-friend can not accompany you inside the bowling lanes. They are welcome to stay in our ground floor restaurant, The Engine Room.
Is the alley wheelchair/pram accessibile?
Ocean Bowl is fully accessible via wheelchair/pram, we have ball ramps specially designed for wheelchair use and have disabled & baby changing toilet facilities.
I have a discount card, can I use it?
LED Members get 20% off, when you book online, choose “LED Members” bowling (underneath “Game Bowling”) You will have to provide a valid LED membership card on arrival.
Blue light cardholders get 10% off, when you book online, choose “Front Line” bowling (underneath “Game Bowling”) A blue light card must be shown on arrival.
Student? Students are now covered under our concession rate. Just select the “concession” game when booking. Each student will need to show a valid uni ID or NUS card on arrival
Please be aware: If a valid discount card is not shown on arrival, you will have to pay the difference.
