Rules of play

  • Children, you will need an adult with you to enter. (You need to be 16 or over to classify as an adult!) A single adult may supervise a maximum of 6 children.
  • Parents/guardians, you must supervise your children at all times and are responsible for ensuring that they are capable of using the available equipment.
  • Children must be under 11 for the play area, children under the age of 3 will need to be supervised by a responsible person.
  • Only children under 5 can play in the smaller 0-5s frame.
  • Adults should not use the play area, tempting as it is! Please only enter to assist your child when needing help.
  • Socks only in the play area, no shoes allowed! If you don’t have any with you, we sell socks for £1.60
  • No food, drink, or glasses can be taken in the play frame.
  • It’s a good idea to take young children to the toilet before entering the play area!
  • Appropriate clothing should be worn. We advise that arms and legs are covered.  We don’t recommend nylon and lightweight clothing.
  • Children who are injured or unwell are not allowed into the play area.
  • Please remove any loose or sharp objects before entering the play frame. Mobile phones, vapes, smart watches, pens, money, jewellery, badges, belts, and ties; to name a few.
  • Smoking, vaping or alcohol consumption is not permitted in the play area. The Deck Restaurant is right opposite if you need a break from the noise!
  • Children wearing glasses should remove them if possible before using the play frame, please take great care to avoid loss or damage as we can not be held liable for lost property.
  • Children, please sit feet first when using the slide, and don’t climb up or play at the bottom of the slides.
  • Any child found to be behaving in a disruptive or unacceptable manner will be asked to leave, we’re committed to providing a safe friendly play environment.
  • Please don’t remove or throw balls from the ball pools, or climb on the outside of the frames or netting.
  • We don’t permit photography without relevant permission.
  • Please report accidents or incidents immediately so we can take swift action!
  • Only food and drink purchased on the premises may be consumed in our Soft play

Unsure on party guest numbers?

We’re all about making your party planning hassle free. If you’re unsure on the number of guests, you can secure your event by simply booking the “Play ‘n’ Food Box Party” ticket for 10 people. You have the flexibility to add additional guests on at any point up until the date of your event.

How much does soft play cost? What ages is it for?

It’s suitable for ages up to 11, older children will class as an adult. We also have a separate 0-5s frame, so the little ones have a separate space from the bigger kids.

The price changes peak-offpeak, and also depends on age, type of session you’re visiting, and ticket you select. However the prices start at £1.50 for under 12 months, £5.60 for ages 1 – 3, and £6.60 for ages 4 – 11.

Do adults need to book?

Yes, every person that comes into the soft play area needs to have a ticket

How big is soft play, what’s inside?

Our play frame is full of chutes, slides, ladders, and interactive equipment for your kids to run around and explore. It’s three-storeys tall and has 3 ball pits. There’s a separate 0-5s frame with it’s own ball pit, slide, nets, ladders and interactive equipment.

Do you have to book or can I turn up without a booking?

We don’t accept walk ins unfortunately, this is because soft play works in session times. If you’re having trouble with our booking system, give us a call on 01395266500, or we can help you in person at the reception, so long as there is availability in the current session.

How long is a soft play session?

Our peak sessions are two hours long, but you can visit off-peak (term time) and play all day if you like!

Is soft play wheelchair/pram accessible?

Ocean Soft Play is fully accessible via wheelchair and prams.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

Soft play has both disabled & baby changing toilet facilities.

Do you have to wear socks / shoes?

Socks must be warn inside the frame, shoes cannot be warn inside the frame. This is to ensure the cleanliness of the play frame. If you forget your socks, we sell sets for £1.60 each
